Notes

What we use notes for

  • Notes are private to your account
  • Fully encrypted in storage and transit

Social Accounts

What we use social data for

  • Creating contacts from first-degree connections only

Protections

  • No access to usernames or passwords
  • No posting, messaging, or actions on your behalf
  • Connections imported securely
  • You can disconnect at any time

Messaging Apps (SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.)

What we use messaging data for

  • Identifying who you communicate with
  • Displaying message conversations and content
  • Computing aggregate interaction statistics (e.g., frequency)

Protections

  • Message content is stored securely and encrypted
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We do not send messages on your behalf
  • You can revoke access at any time

Desktop permissions

Some operating systems require broader permissions (e.g., full disk access) to access messages. When required:
